Patience, they say, pays. That cuts across just about every strata of society and most especially when it comes to deploying our natural gifts and talents.
Unfortunately, we live in a world that is so demanding of the now. We have the urgency of the now to pay bills and take care of things. That set up does not bode well with the gospel of developing our gifts and talents.
Why? Because it takes time to grow a mango tree. It takes time to develop a natural gift to the level that it is fruitful and beneficial not just to you, but to the world.
So people would rather be distracted with this and that in order to "eke out a living" than to grow their potential. Listen to this.
